Does anyone have any pictures of the 2/23??? I cannot find a single article, video, or picture of them!!!! I need pics of my boy!!!!

momusaarmy, thanks for the info and opprotunity to share my thoughts and some pictures of my son.

While I'm not a StrykerMomma, I'm a StrykerDad and proud of it. Charlie's in B CO, 1-38 IN, 4-2 ID.

First picture was taken by the Freeport Flag Ladies in Bangor, Maine as Charlie was on the phone with his wife, waiting for the next plane on his trip to the sandbox.

This picture is of him somewhere in Kuwait, just not sure where!

Once again, thanks for this opportunity.

I will continue to check this blog and the strykernews forum as many times a day as possible to help with my sanity check.

Prior to stumbling onto the strykernews forum, I was clueless about any support for parents with kids (that's what they'll always be in my heart) serving in the military.

Thanks again for all the support during the toughest time in my life as a parent!

My son, Keone, and squad (2/23 - C Company)

Okay, so here is Keone's squad (2/23 - C Company). Keone is the one "cuddling" his weapon with crossed arms ... the brown bald one! He gets pinned Staff Sargeant this Friday 6/8!

Here is the "tag" the mother/wife of my "adoptive family" made for me. I posted it on Let's Talk but wanted it in a more permanent place too.

The photo of Austin that she used makes me really sad -- but very proud. He just looks so young and sweet in that photo. Here's the whole photo -- he's smoking (bad boy).

This next photo is Kris in full body armor taken recently in Mosul. It sure looks like it'd be hard to move with all that gear on. And think of the heat. Kris has seven months left of his 15.

Kris and his wife are meeting in the Bahamas for his R&R break in July. No invite for us yet --- think we'll get one?

So I just wanted to say to everyone! I'm infantry_wife02. I think its great that this is set up so we can actually see who we will be connecting with over the next 15 months, ok maybe not 15 now, but you all know what I mean. Sammy here! i finally figured out how to post pictures! here are some of baby Giada from the Ultrasound today...she is so precious- i love her little button nose! :) then i posted a couple of trav and i so u can put a name to a face :) and then the last one is travs favorite picture- its of him and giada and its the one he has in his uniform pocket (right next to the pregnancy test...yes, he carries the pregnancy test with him...he is kind of a wiseass like that :) )

Hey Everybody:

Austin's Mom (and Kris's Mom) here. I'm having one of the worst cries ever tonight. Just the thought that I could lose one of my boys -- as each of you could as well, unfortunately -- and seeing another name added to the list of Fallen Heros from the 4/2 after only a few weeks in Iraq; it's all too much. How will we endure more than a complete year and then some of our children being in a War?

Every time I'm doing anything "normal" -- like cooking out and enjoying the beautiful weather -- I think of what my sons (and yours) are ACTUALLY doing at that exact time (or a few hours one way or the other). It's just too much!!!!
